Dominique F. Bourcheix was admitted to the Québec Bar in 1982. She has practiced litigation in insolvency, construction, insurance and civil law for several years until she dedicated her practice to mediation, its teaching and arbitration in 1999.

She has presided over more than 2 500 civil and commercial mediations in the fields of construction, insurance, invalidity, contracts, civil and professional liability, disputes between shareholders and successions. She is the conciliator for the Quebec Energy Board and has also facilitated large negotiation tables in the agricultural industry.

She has been teaching the civil/commercial/labour mediation course since 2005, course which gives lawyers a formal accreditation as mediators with the Bar and other professionals with IMAQ. She has regularly given principled negotiation and mediation courses to the Justice Ministry of Canada, CRTC and RCMP. She has regularly given mediation perfection seminars to the mediators of administrative tribunals and in Europe.

She received the Longueuil Bar’s emeritus award for 2017, for her accomplishments in mediation and her contribution to the advancement of mediation in Québec.
